This is a dual suboscillator (-1 octave, -2octaves times two) that can be used as a hand held device or a 8HP Eurorack module (where you get a total of four sub oscs) for use with modular synths or semi-modular synths with a patch bay. These sub oscillator modules are powered by the waveform you send into them, so they do not require a conventional power supply. Anything between 2 and 20 volts input – go! CMOS magic from maffez’ cauldron! 🙂
Here are a shoddy “proof this exists” video and some pictures. I’d like some folks to test this in their environment before uploading the schematic, production files and BOM. I call this an EDI module because it’s intended to be free but linked to a donation to the Women’s Audio Mission and/or The Trevor Project, i.e. if you make one of these for yourself, I expect you to donate a little bit to either or both of these institutions, and if you want to make commercial use of it, you have to donate in proportion to how many modules you sell. More details by the time the production files are up.
